Designing for a theoretical future where water levels had risen to unsustainable levels forcing humans to move to water due to a lack of liveable land, I was given the freedom to define what sort of conditions my boat would have to deal with. The conditions were ocean water acidification, changing precipitation patterns, rising sea levels (+150m) and changing ocean currents.

PROJECT/3 is a fully self-sustaining trimaran capable of comfortably housing 10 people. The vessel is equipped with all the essential facilities found in any home, along with the capability to grow food through hydroponics, generate fresh drinking water, and power through solar panels, wind turbines and an on-board hydrogen generator. The interior has been designed to provide a sense of security to the vessel’s users. Hence the interior has been designed to resemble a house more than the traditional designs you would see on a boat interior.
